Today’s post is going to be about Younique Cosmetics. A month or so ago I received a collection from a fellow blogger and Younique representative. I received the Cloud Nine Collection which features various makeup products. I have been able to to have some fun and experiment with each product allowing me to get a feel and an impression of how well they work or don’t work.

I have never tried any of their products in the past except for their mascara, which I am sure a lot of you heard about. It’s the 3D Fibre Lash mascara that lengthens your lashes with the use of fibres. I had a bad experiment with this in the past, so I do admit I had a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth when trying this makeup. But, I know one bad experience doesn’t make everything else bad…

Pinups for Warriors

Sneak Peek!!

Several months back, I was asked if I would participate in the making of a pinup calendar to support the charity, Wounded Warriors.  At the time, I was a bit nervous because… it’s a big deal!  My husband is an injured soldier, a wounded warrior so to speak, so it was a project that was near and dear to my family and myself so I took on the challenge.

I love pinup art, and retro makeup so this was a dream for me!  All of the models are either a spouse or child of a military member, or they are in the military themselves.  All the people involved behind the scenes are spouses of military members, as well.  This calendar will be released soon and I can’t wait to see it in its entirety!

Have you ever “kitnapped” from a direct sales company?  Which one was it, and why?

First Try: 3D Fiber Lashes+

Well, today I got home to find a pile of Younique boxes for me and the one I was most excited to rip into was the box that had my 3D+ in it!  I opened my packages and went right upstairs to hang out with my new best friend.

First off, my initial thought about this product was that I’m so glad the packaging is now completely recyclable.  Sure, you could reuse the packaging from the original 3D Fiber Lashes, but this packaging can now be completely recycled.  Awesome!  The next thing I noticed was that the wand is just as amazing as I thought it was going to be.  Seriously, amazing!

The gel is, in my opinion, a bit thinner than the original and that’s not a bad thing!  I find this one is wet enough that it doesn’t dry so quickly you need to rush and it gets every lash coated evenly.  The fibers and gel are nice and black, giving me the look I prefer for my lashes.

3D Fiber Lashes+

I can’t believe I haven’t talked about this yet!  The Younique world was on pins and needles for over a month while we were being teased with phrases like, “Groundbreaking announcement!”, “EPIC”, “This is a game changer”, etc…  and, being someone who isn’t good at waiting, it started to drive a bit loopy.  I was convinced that this news, whatever it was, just was not going to live up to the hype.

Notions and Notoriety

Nikki encourages women to get in touch with their more feminine side, which you can see in her photos!  In these gorgeous images, we see Dee Lamb who is building her application to enter the Torrid Model Search this year.  I think she’s a stunner, and I think that Nikki did an amazing job of capturing her personality in these photos!

Still Moments Photography

I have just worked my first wedding with Claire, and her associate Holly, from Still Moments Photography and I was so impressed with their images and work ethic!  I have never seen a more organized schedule for a wedding day, Claire ensured that no shot was missed and that the bride and groom were not feeling overwhelmed at any point.  Her straight-forward but kind approach kept the day rolling and her hard work was worth it.  Look at how gorgeous those pictures are!
